Hi,

I have configured autover to monitor my user directory I also use syncthing to replicate my user directory to my NAS this gives me a backup of my user directory with versioning for changed files.

I have encountered a problem that when syncthing creates its database for the first time it triggers a backup of all my files in my user directory.

Once syncthing completes its database build then any subsequent scans by syncthing for changed files do not trigger autover.

If I inspect the one of the files being backed up by autover the modification/access/creation date has not changed from several years ago so syncthing is not changing the file in anyway?

sounds like a bug, I posted this behavior on the syncthing forum and was asked to contact the developer of autover hence my post on this forum.

is there anyone maintaining autover that can look at this problem

I do have a workaround of exiting autover whenever I have the need to rebuild syncthing's database but as this is rare I keep forgetting to stop autover ....
